| Yes, you can see John's - no, mine will most likely not see the light of day :) Yes, it hurt a little (John teared up) (not) - but compared to whacking into rocks and falling down waterfalls - it was a piece of pie. |

| Spelunking - Hazeltine Style |
| Tight spaces, abseiling (rappelling),cold water, absolute darkness and a couple glow worms describes Waitomo Caves. We went on a "dodgy" caving trip yesteday, got soaked to the bone and a little battered and bruised - it was "classic"!! |

| The day started out like any other adventure, a little disappointing. We stayed in a human sized bug zapper, got turned away at 7:40 and told to report at 8:50 for our taxi up the glacier due to the heavy cloud cover. So we went and had an overpriced, uncooked breakfast of fruit and Wheat Bix. Then, things started to pick up. |
