After a couple days chillin in Auckland, we filed our police report and caught our very, very late flight to Cairns, Australia on Friday the 13th.

Yes, you read that right.  We filed a police report.  Jeri went on a crime spree....  not really, but she did notice that someone  nicked our license plate from our rental car.   Jeri had to call the Auckland police to file the report in case the cops noticed it on our way to the airport.  Anyhow, we made it about 5 hours early thanks to an untimely lightening strike to our airplane...they switched it out and gave us a new one fully stocked with pies & ice cream!!!

Wow -- your trip sounds soooooooo cool :-D I finally had time to check everything out this morning. Sweeeeeet!! I can't wait until lunch w/Jeri to hear more about all your adventures. We'll definitely have to have drinks and a loooong lunch to rehash such a long, awesome adventure. BTW, you are very brave souls. Spelunking scares the crap out of me. I don't know, the remote possibility of a sudden shift in the rocks/mountains squishing everything below and inside. EEeeeeek -- I'm an enormous chicken. Keep having a blast guys -- I'm so happy for you, being able to do this. Plus, can't wait to see pics of the tats (or at least a description of the "secre" one ;-D
