Rain, wind and a touch cold weather.  We've both been working really hard this year - John's really been burning the candle at both end (working until 2 -6 AM the next day - then going to the office) - so we decided to reward ourselves with a little r&r this past weekend.  We found this great little place in Hermosa Beach, CA and stayed Friday - Sunday. 

I was in California all week (San Fran, then L.A.), so John flew out and joined me in LA.  It was gorgeous weather all week - but wouldn't you know it - we had clouds and damp on Saturday.  It was fine though - gave the beach "atmosphere", we walked for miles and miles on the beach (poked at all of the dead jellyfish and saved starfish that washed up) and we added to our sweatshirt collection (we packed shorts).  The room was really great - it had a massive tub and a fireplace - I light a mean Duraflame fire : ) 

We had a flight out on Sunday - and the sun was out, not a cloud in the sky - darn it!!  It may not have been ideal but was so nice to decompress for a little while and enjoy each others company.
