Equator...or is it???

No, it's not. This was figured to be the equator long ago (I should know who and when figured it out, but I can't remember). But then Garmin came out and blew the whole thing out of the water. It's still pretty darn impressive though - considering they only hadrudimentary tools and math to figure it out.
